Frequently Asked Questions
-
I have limited availability on weekends, as well as weekday evenings. Solstice Psychiatry is currently accepting new patients.
-
Solstice Psychiatry is currently a private-pay practice and does not accept insurance. Upon request, a superbill may be provided for patients interested in seeking potential out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance plan.
-
I extend a one-time courtesy for late cancellations or missed appointments — because sometimes, life simply doesn't cooperate. After that, a $150 fee is applied to any appointment cancelled or missed within 24 hours of its scheduled time. This allows me to honor the time and care reserved for each person I serve.
-
Solstice Psychiatry currently offers telehealth appointments for adults located in Oregon. Telehealth allows for flexible, accessible psychiatric care from the comfort of home. Limited in-person availability may be offered in the future.
-
My practice is currently focused on adults ages 18 to 40 years old, with a particular interest in anxiety/OCD, ADHD, burnout, life transitions, women’s mental health, and diagnostic clarification during young and early-middle adulthood.
-
I often work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, ADHD and executive functioning concerns, trauma-related symptoms, identity exploration, relationship stress, and major life transitions. Many patients seek care at Solstice Psychiatry after feeling unheard, misunderstood, or uncertain whether previous diagnoses or treatment approaches fully captured what they were experiencing.
-
I practice thoughtful diagnostic clarification, including the ways trauma, neurodivergence, masking, chronic stress, and longstanding emotional patterns can shape mental health over time. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and individualized, with attention to the broader context of each patient’s lived experience. I believe in evidence-based care, which works best when patients feel heard, informed, and actively involved in treatment decisions. Rather than rushed prescribing, I prioritize careful evaluation.
-
Solstice Psychiatry is best suited for individuals appropriate for outpatient telehealth treatment. Patients requiring higher levels of care, active crisis services, or complex medical management may be referred to providers or programs better equipped to support those needs.
-
Initial evaluations are comprehensive and designed to better understand your symptoms, history, goals, and previous treatment experiences. Appointments typically include discussion of diagnostic impressions, treatment recommendations, and collaborative planning for next steps.
